New Endings, New Beginnings. . .

"It’s a helluva start, being able to recognize what makes you happy. . ."
Lucille Ball

Life is all about making mistakes, learning and growing.  It's also about what makes you happy, so be true to yourself and if you need to do some house cleaning (literally and metaphorically), make the strides to do so.  Some things and some people are placed in your life for only a season or so, so you can move on to better things. . .the life that was meant for you.  Be able to realize that and accept it. Love yourself and be kind to your soul. . .

Life's Simple Pleasures. . .

Lifestyle changes. Inevitable? Maybe. For all? No. For me? Yes. I have often gone through the course of my life putting things off.  I can truly say that I've become a master at procrastination which is a habit that is hard to break.  However, I am determined to change this trait that has become a part of who I am.  Baby steps are a wonderful starting point.  Eventually, I will walk, run, and soar in the ambience of personal achievements.  The time is NOW! I do not have to wait until January 1st to begin my new year. .  And I hope that you don't either. A new year but the same me, the same you (changes don't have to change who you are) . . so let's take this journey together.

mora, nice to finally meet me. . .

self discovery. exploring my self is one of the most difficult tasks that will forever be an ongoing adventure.  sometimes, i think im able to figure someone else out better or more completely than im able to do for myself. confusing? confused. because life isnt stable and built upon sameness. want i wanted yesterday may or may not be what i want to today. or wanted a minute ago.  true self understanding comes with just accepting the facts of change and complexities. what do you want to be when you grow up? living. not necessarily alive, but living. living through any and all legacies that i leave on this physical mesh of ground and water called earth.  living through the stories that people tell about me. via the still images of my existent caught by a camera flash. through the abundance of articles, poems, books and art that ive spent random, unpremeditated moments being entrenched in. through the leaders of the world that i will carry for nine months of their precious, irreplaceable lives and they will flourish, hurt and smile thereafter.  living through my life. my life. no one else's. without apologizing for mistakes, spoken words that should not have escaped my lips, falling in and out of love or being happy without sympathizing with someone else's sadness. no, im not "sorry" for the life i have. i will not regret moments. because life is full of them and i appreciate and am thankful for those ive experienced and those in the future. what i will do is say thank you, a thousand times thanks. thank you for calling me out on my bullshit, believing in me when i didnt know how to and loving me at times i forgot what external love was.  thank you for the "i shouldnt do this but i am and i did" times, the moments of complete heartache, for my established success and forthcoming achievements and unforseen detours. thank you for it all. and i do not, and will not, apologize.

nice to meet me, mora.

think on these things. . .

hmmm ive always been told that i was a good writer. sometimes i believed it. sometimes i didnt. i would read books and articles and say "woooow, i wish i was a good writer, this is really good". but ive learned that the authors behind those same articles, books, and magazines may have felt the same way i was feeling. or maybe not. i mean if one can write and publish their work, there must be some sort of confidence in what they are doing. im left to wonder if i should have published some of my thoughts years ago.  wondering if i should publish in the future. putting your words and thoughts out there is a scary thing.  it makes you vulnerable and on edge.  itll be my words. my creativity. my outlet. my experiences. my self.  my entire sense of living will be up for scrutiny. will i be prepared for that? will i welcome that with open arms or a gaurded, sensitive heart? its hard to say.  the only way to find out is to go for it. to take a deep breath and go for the unknown and the unfamiliar.

sometimes one finds love behind a closed door or on top of an old dusty bookshelf.  left abandoned and neglected waiting for that one to give it a reason to exist again.  gives someone the urge, the desire, the want to be able to love. again. that feeling of warmth and a feeling that could never be understood through words.  oh, that feeling. its nice to have that again. although its not the same, in which it shouldnt be.  old dust covered hearts are capable of loving once again.  capable of beating love through the veins of a person who has lost hope. running away from hope. wishing that hope didnt truly exist because with hurt, came comfort. embarking on a new experiece, a new journey, with a new person wasnt in the definition of being heartbroken.  it went against the security and warm blanket feeling found in sorrow.  a new love would only serve as a reminder that hope did exist. and hope went against everything pain meant. yet hope, through some stuggles and many scuffles, undoubtedly won.

the start . . .

let me be true to myself.  let me understand the complexities of the inner workings of my mind and find the external means to express the internal.  there's so much in life that i love. is that wrong? a geek at heart, an artist at soul.  im just a woman.  a woman pursuing the fruits of my labor. too many bottled up ideas that have been told to hush and keep quiet while imposed upon ideals of who i am supposed to be takes the lead.  never no more will i keep calm the creativity that is fighting to get out. let me be true to myself.  and even though the world is full of uncertainty and lies disguised as the american dream, my truth and certain begins with my own. let me be true, let me be me and in me i'll find actuality.
